Vedic Gyan Kendra Trains 50 New Pandits in Varanasi Residential Programme
By Sanatan Dharma Seva Trust
The Vedic Gyan Kendra, SDST's flagship educational initiative, has achieved a significant milestone by training and certifying 50 new Vedic Pandits through its intensive residential programme in Varanasi. This batch represents students from 12 different states across India, reflecting the pan-India appeal of authentic Vedic education.
The programme, spanning 24 months of rigorous study, covered all four Vedas along with the six Vedangas. Students underwent intensive training in Vedic recitation methods including Swara, Pada, Krama, and Ghana Patha under the guidance of senior Acharyas.
Vedmurti Brajesh Guruji, guiding force behind SDST, presided over the graduation ceremony. "Each of these young scholars carries forward an unbroken chain of knowledge that stretches back thousands of years. They are not just students — they are custodians of our civilization's most precious heritage," he said.
The graduates will now serve communities across India, conducting Vedic rituals, teaching at local institutions, and preserving the oral traditions of Sanskrit scholarship. Several have already been placed at Vedic schools supported by SDST in Delhi, Jaipur, and Pushkar.
The next batch of admissions for the Gurukul programme opens in April 2025, with seats available for boys aged 10-18 years. The programme is fully residential and covers all expenses including board, lodging, and educational materials.
