Annual Gita Adhyayan Shibir Draws 300 Families to Rishikesh

By Sanatan Dharma Seva Trust

The annual Gita Adhyayan Shibir, organized by Sanatan Dharma Seva Trust, witnessed record attendance as 300 families from across India converged at Rishikesh for five days of intensive scriptural study, satsang, and spiritual immersion.

The retreat, held at a scenic ashram on the banks of the Ganga, featured daily sessions on the Bhagwad Gita led by Vedmurti Brajesh Guruji and a panel of distinguished scholars. Topics covered included Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and the practical application of Gita principles in modern life.

Special sessions were organized for children through the Bal Sanskar programme, where young participants learned to recite key shlokas and understand their meanings through interactive storytelling and activities.

"The Gita is not just a philosophical text — it is a manual for life. When families study it together, the wisdom seeps into the very fabric of daily living," said Vedmurti Brajesh Guruji during the closing ceremony.

The next Shibir is planned for Pushkar in 2025, with registrations expected to open in September.
